The Manhattan Club We stayed at the Manhattan Club NYC for a week in August 2024. We had been looking for accommodation for 2 adults and a 14-year-old child in Manhattan in a location as close to Central Park/Time Square as possible so that we wouldn't generally have to rely on the subway for our planned activities. This was followed by a rather lengthy search for suitable accommodation and checking the respective reviews on booking.com. Sometimes we liked this one better, sometimes that one, but the reviews were never consistent. After realizing that most of the room sizes offered for 3 “full-grown” guests were between 19 and 25 m² and in most cases contained “so-called” queen-size beds (B: 130-140cm), we happened to notice “The Manhatten Club” with room sizes of more than 40 m². Additionally with a functional kitchenette, 2 bathrooms and actually two rooms, which could be separated by a sliding door. However, we were unsure because of the widely differing reviews. Some guests were probably delighted, while others criticized the accommodation as “getting on in years”, for example wallpaper that was peeling, carpet in general, sofa bed uncomfortable, etc. Another point of criticism was often the breakfast - we can only say that it is better to book without breakfast in NYC - there are Starbuckks, delis, supermarkets etc. on every corner. After weighing up all the possible accommodations, we finally decided on “The Manhattan Club” and were pleasantly surprised.

This place is fantastic. I travelled from the UK with my family and stayed here for 3 nights. I’ve been to New York before so was aware that the rooms are normally small and expensive. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was huge. We had 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Both the main bed and sofa bed were very comfortable, I requested extra pillows which were delivered to the door in minutes. The location is perfect, Central Park and Time Square within a 5 min walk and numerous subway stations nearby. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and communication with the hotel prior to arrival was very quick. They do take a $500 security deposit from your card on arrival which I was aware of this so no issues there, but unlike other places I was looking at, there is no local resort fee. I managed to find this place for a good rate after reserving other hotels which were more expensive and not as good, so overall I was very happy with the money I paid for my stay. I would happily stay here again and I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone travelling to New York.

The location in midtown is excellent, a short walk from central park and time square. We stayed in a city lights suite which was perfect for us with two 17 year old kids who shared the pullout sofa bed(no complaints from them!). The main bedroom has its own en suite and two closets and is separated from the living area by double doors which gives privacy between those using the pullout sofa area and those using the bedroom. The main living area has a toilet and shower and the kitchenette has a fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a coffee maker and the coffee pods are complimentary.

The hotel is in a great location - close to Times Square and Broadway, Carnegie Hall and Central Park. 5th Avenue is an easy walk away. Public transport (subway, MTZ buses) runs along 7th Ave, making it easy to access everything New York offers. All the hotel staff are friendly and helpful, which helped us enjoy our stay. The room was a good size for 3 people, and was well appointed. We appreciated having access to the owners' club on the top floor, especially when we had a late afternoon flight following check out.

We were given a junior executive room on a high floor with a great view! Parking was an incredible deal. We were charged $35/day! When you arrive at the hotel they unload your bags and valet park your car. I'd easily seen at least $50/day everywhere else. Didn't even need the car until we left. We got everywhere by walking, taking the train, or by Uber/Lyft. Such an easy city to get around! The Manhattan Club is a short train ride to Times Square or about a 25 minute walk.
